Complimentary Fluid Analysis

We're often asked, "How long will my fluid last?" The reality is that with thousands of different uses for heat transfer fluids and so many varied system designs, it's nearly impossible to predict.

That's why we support our customers with complimentary fluid analysis. It's a proven system we've developed to help you monitor your fluid condition and keep things running smoothly.

Our comprehensive analysis examines the key indicators of fluid condition including flash point, viscosity and TAN (total acid number).

Why Fluid Analysis?

Our free analysis service maximizes your fluid investment by ensuring the life of your fluid is optimized for your specific application. We'll make recommendations on a fluid's continued serviceability and identify early signs of trouble. If necessary, we'll also recommend corrective actions for your equipment to extend the fluid's service.

New Systems

For new systems, we support you from the beginning with a baseline sample taken the first time you fill your system with our fluid. This will help you monitor your fluid condition over time. We'll give you a detailed report for each analysis and take the time to discuss the reports with you, at your convenience.

Older Systems

For systems that are converting from another fluid or refilling after an oil change, we recommend saving a sample of the old fluid as it's drained so it can be compared to a sample of new fluid — typically taken within a few days after the oil change.

The subsequent reports and discussions will give you an indication of how effective the oil change was and if any further steps are required. Remember: Old, degraded fluid contaminates new fluid and shortens its life!

For both old and new systems, you'll continue to be supported as we work with you to determine the optimal analysis schedule for your specific application as well as provide a report and offering to discuss it with you after each analysis.

Practicing oil analysis is not a huge commitment. Generally, we recommend a yearly sample for larger systems (500+ gallons, 1,900 litres) and semi-annual or quarterly samples for smaller systems.

Taking advantage is easy. Samples can be sent in any clean container suitable for shipping, or we can provide a Duratherm sample kit, if necessary. And of course it's all free of charge.

Please contact our customer support team to get set up on the analysis program – it's the best way we can support you to ensure a long, trouble-free service life.
