Duratherm helps breath new life into an old extruder
The task of bringing old tired equipment back into production can be daunting and very costly. Manual tear downs and re-plumbing can take days, not to mention the cost of new parts.
We were recently contacted by a medical device manufacturer who was trying to utilize an older extruder for a medical-grade tubing project. Having found us in the extruder manufacturer’s manual, we were able to quickly assess their situation and prescribe the right combination of cleaners, flushing agents and heat transfer fluid to get the job done.
Production can now begin at least a week ahead of schedule and at a cost far less than manually refurbishing the heat transfer system used in the extruder.
