Flash, fire and autoignition points
In the last few weeks we have talked to a large number of new customers about one issue: flash point.
More often these days potential customers call in asking for a high flash point fluid. Sometimes it’s driven by an operating temperature change and subsequent requirement for a higher flash point. Other times there’s a corporate mandate specifying a minimum flash point.
Each situation is unique, but they usually all have one common thread — a need for clarification on the technical phrases flash point, fire point and autoignition.
