Don’t let sludge get you down
We were contacted recently by a company in the laundry industry using a thermal ironer that employed thermal fluids to heat the system’s ‘chests’.
Noting a change in heat-up times, the company suspected something might be up with their system and contacted us for help. As a matter of course we typically offer a free fluid analysis to help troubleshoot the situation. However, as the customer drew the sample and watched it cool from a liquid into a heavy, very thick sludge they realized the problem - they left the fluid in their system far too long and oxidation degraded it so badly it was now sludge!
Fortunately a thorough cleaning with our DuraClean Ultra should get them back in shape without too much trouble. This just shows the importance of regular fluid maintenance and monitoring
